These are the first couple of pages I've done. I used one of Becky Fleck's horizontal sketches for the first one and I used Tamara's sketch #36 for the second page.

Tamara's Sketch #34
The Mackinac Bridge
She's a mighty fine bridge
Five hundred feet high
And five miles long.
In the Straits of Mackinac
There's about as much water as you've ever saw
The folks who lived there tried and tried
But they couldn't get across to the the other side
Couldn't get across without a boat or a plane
Couldn't take a bus or a trolley or a train
Couldn't swim across, it was cold as a fridge
Thought they'd better build themselves a bridge
The Mackinac Bridge
She's a mighty fine bridge
Five hundred feet high
And five miles long.
So in nineteen hundred and fifty four
They started linking shore to shore
From Mackinaw City to St. Ignace town
The men on the top didn't dare look down
In '57 the work was through
there she was all shiny and new
They had a big party and they called out loud
She's the Mackinac Bridge
And we are proud!
The Mackinac Bridge
She's a mighty fine bridge
Five hundred feet high
And five miles long.

As I was out and about today, I noticed that the price of gas had done a big jump since the last time I was out - a 25 cent jump. The report in our local news is that the price will be hitting $4.00 by Spring. :(
